Buckaroo Quilt from Lovin' Life At The End Of The Dirt Road

I started planning this quilt back in May 2018. I started with this group of fabrics that I had bought online a few years earlier I pivoted to make this quilt {Buckaroo Cross} with them in 2020 and finished it first.and I then pulled other fabrics in from my stash to scrap this 2nd quilt up a bit. I used the 4 1/2" Accuquilt triangle die in order to make the best use of my

New Project Update from Wedding Dress Blue

It isn’t taking as long as I thought to get a lot done on the new project: THIS ONE.

It is now called the Confetti Quilt, and there are 100 of 144 blocks assembled. And most of the pieces are cut (out of that abundant scrap box) for the rest of the blocks.

Possibly the blocks will be complete by early February. Such a nice way to start the year.

MY Pin Wheel Triangle Quilt Block for YOU to Make from The Quilt Ladies Book Collection

This is one of my quilt block patterns and I named it, Pin Wheel Around.  I took 2- five inch Charm packs and these quilt blocks. I don't over think quit fabric colors much...a light, a dark color. I like the idea of the sewing recently, cut, grab, sew! Just the way I've been lately. the gray and orange.

Island Batik Triangle Tricks Challenge from Sew Preeti Quilts

I am not sure how/why the name came to me.  I guess it takes three to make a band (two is just a pair/duo), just like you need three sides to make a triangle. The colors are definitely boyish. It fits and so it sticks.

Meet Boy Band.

Boy Band

The Island Batik challenge for May is simple - get out of your comfort zone (working with squares and rectangles) and work with triangles.

I could have used HSTs or even HRTs because there is no dearth of ideas. But staying true to the challenge, I pieced triangles.

Scrappy Hexagon quilt progress from Northern Deb Quilts

The Scrappy Hexagon quilt is progressing. HOW-TO post is the one before this.
I'm digging through the final 1-1/2" scrap strips to make enough triangles to complete the top.

I took a little time away from the quilt to make a mug rug. Ever feel the need to just have a finish? Me too.

I had a pile of little short scraps collecting on the cutting table. I was ready to toss them in the garbage when it occured to me they might make a scrappy block. I don't need just one odd scrappy block so I ...

A Cute Quilt and a Cute Baby from Needle and Foot

My niece just had her first baby! She was due on January 25th and this little tiny girl decided to join the family on January 8th. She must have been in quite a hurry to meet her mama and daddy.

Some months ago (in September I believe) I was talking to my sister and she helped me to choose colors for a baby quilt. After some back and forth, I had a stack of fabric in shades of pink, lavender, gray and cheddar yellow. Really unusual colors but I loved them together.

I went back and forth on patterns and ...

A Finish from the Back of the Closet from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

First, I hope all of you from the states had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I was thankful for all my great friends and that I didn't have to drive anywhere!

I don't think I have ever shared any in-process photos of this triangle quilt I finished this week.  This was a project one of my clients asked me to adopt.  She had all of the triangles cut but didn't find sewing together all those triangles together was very much fun.  It has been stored in the back of the closet for months.  I thought I would get it ...
